Jon Batiste joins host Raina Douris

Jon Batiste keeps a busy schedule…Not only is he the bandleader on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, he also recently composed the Golden Globe-winning soundtrack to the Disney/Pixar film Soul, AND released his own album. It’s called We Are, and on the next World Cafe, we’ll hear Jon perform some of the new music live. Plus, he talks with host Raina Douris about his songwriting process and about his record’s title track, which features his grandfather, nephews, and high school marching band.
