Encore: Questlove joins host Raina Douris

In the summer of ‘69, there was a festival that brought together artists like Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, and Sly & The Family Stone – But until recently, so few even knew the event took place, Questlove included. When he was approached to make a film about The Harlem Cultural Festival, he had no idea what he was about to uncover. Pieced together from footage and recordings packed away in a basement for decades, Questlove’s documentary Summer Of Soul finally shines a light on the “Black Woodstock.” We’ll revisit his conversation with host Raina Douris about the film and its soundtrack
