The Lumineers join host Raina Douris

The Lumineers have been playing together for over 15 years, so when it came time to make their latest album, they decided to mix things up – The folk-rock group improvised more than they ever have while writing Brightside. As vocalist and songwriter Wesley Schultz explains on the next World Cafe, a lot of the record was about wanting to escape. We’ll hear that approach in action with live performances from the band. Plus, Wesley shares about the harrowing car accident he and his wife survived that inspired one of the new songs.
