Sufjan Stevens and Angelo De Augustine join host Stephen Kallao

What do the films Night of the Living Dead, She’s Gotta Have It, and Point Break, have in common? Among several other movies, they inspired the new album from Sufjan Stevens and Angelo De Augustine, called A Beginner’s Mind. Sufjan has always been adventurous with his album themes, and this time, each song on the record is connected with a movie he and Angelo watched during a month-long viewing session in upstate New York. We’ll hear how they came up with the idea, how movies were selected, as well as an earnest discussion about the rival cheerleading sequel, Bring it On Again.
