PJ Harvey joins host Raina Douris

PJ Harvey has a wonderous new album called I Inside the Old Year Dying. Part of the magic comes from the language she uses – the lyrics were written in the Dorset dialect, which PJ grew up around – and part of the magic comes from the touches of found sound – bits that PJ collected with a tape recorder around her childhood home. On the World Cafe, PJ Harvey talks about making it and plays some of the songs live with her band.

Listen to the session here.
