Every August on the Land Of The Lost we carve out some time to remember the late, great broadcaster John Peel. He was the longest serving of the original BBC Radio 1 DJs, broadcasting regularly from 1967 until his death in 2004. He was known for his eclectic taste in music and his honest and warm broadcasting style. John would have turned 76 August 30, had he not left us so suddenly back in 2004. Hard to imagine it's been over ten years since his passing. In the 10pm hour we'll play nothing but PEEL SESSIONS from the BBC studios - plus I'll have some Public Image Ltd tickets to give away - they return to Philly on November 11 at The Trocadero

As I'll mention during the show - I highly recommend you visit this incredible site, archiving each and every artist's visit to see John Peel - it's a treasure trove of musical memories!
