Watch a preview of Sweet Lights’ upcoming Shaking Through episode

The next episode of Shaking Through, the audio and video collaboration between WXPN and Weathervane Music, will feature Sweet Lights, the current musical project of Shai Halperin. The full episode is being released on Tuesday, August 16th. Below, watch a preview of the session.

We have a great little sneak peak into our next Shaking Through session, Coming Tuesday August 16. Sweet Lights is the work of long time Philadelphia indie musician, Shai Halperin, formerly of an amazing band, The Capital Years – go, look ’em up. Shai also played in early formations of War on Drugs (Secretly Canadian). He’s a brilliant songwriter with a voice entirely his own, and “You Let Me Down” is epicly reminiscent of ELO, Tom Petty, and other distant, familiar greatness. The episode is curated by Weathervane Founder, Brian McTear. Says McTear, “Shai’s one of the best artists in Philadelphia. He always has been, and will be as long as he’s making music here. That’s how I feel, at least.”
