WXPN offers the opportunity for local students to gain meaningful, hands-on experience at a nationally recognized leader in Triple-A radio. We hire students studying media, production, engineering, journalism, marketing, public relations, photography, design, business, non-profit management and related fields, and we provide a practical extension and enrichment of a student’s coursework. WXPN is a remarkable work environment for motivated and independent individuals. Many students who start working with us their freshman year continue at WXPN until their education is complete.
WXPN welcomes University students to apply for internships. Intern applicants need to be available Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. and some weekends depending on internship needs. Most internship positions require a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.
How to Apply:
- Download and complete an Internship Application Form for each internship you wish to apply.
- Gather any supplemental materials an internship may require
- Email the Community Outreach Coordinator your cover letter, resume, supplemental materials, and completed internship application. Include in the subject line: “Internship Application_first and last name”. Submit an application pack for each internship.
Please note: It will take approximately four weeks for your application to be processed. Due to the large volume of applications, we are unable to notify applicants who are not selected for internships.
For best consideration, please submit internship applications and materials by:
Fall (August – December): June 16th, 2023
Spring (January – May): October 13th, 2023
Summer ( June – August): March 15th, 2024
