Get to know singer-songwriter Lucy Stone

Singer-songwriter Lucy Stone recently came to our attention with a wonderful three-song EP. Excellently arranged, these pop songs bring to mind the work of Natalie Merchant and Paula Cole, and Lucy has a very confident and strong pop singing style. Currently a sophomore at Drexel University where she is in the music industry program, Lucy grew up just outside of Philadelphia in Wyndmoor. In January, 2010, she released the Small Treasures EP. These new songs were recorded at Drexel’s Mad Dragon studios with Brandon Bost, Zack Weinstein, Sean Donaghy and Paul Impellizeri. She’s continuing to work on new material and has a show coming up on April 24th at Dobbs. Below, stream three recent songs from a very promising up and coming artist.
