Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter and producer Ryan Adams is back in the music game. After a stellar set at our XPoNential music festival this summer and the release of his new self-titled album, Adams recently appeared on NPR’s World Cafe and had a wide-ranging interview with host David Dye. They spoke about his recent music production process (his own PAX-AM studio in LA), opened up about some of his health issues (overcoming an inner ear disorder), and geeked out about pinball machines (he’s an avid collector), all peppered with amazing live performances with his band, including new tunes off his new album. After his three year hiatus from the music scene, the artist was happy to announce his full return to performing, recording and touring as well as a restored sense of self.

Miss Ryan Adams on the World Cafe? Listen back to the archive now or tune into 88.5 WXPN on Sunday at 3 p.m. EST to hear the session rebroadcasted – with additional cover performances of Foreigner’s “I Want To Know What Love Is” and Danzig’s “Mother” that are not available online.  Ryan Adams will also be playing in Philadelphia at Tower Theater on November 19th so be sure to mark your calendars! Tickets and more information can be found at the XPN Concert Calendar.
