When Dan Auerbach isn’t producing records or jamming with Pat Carney in The Black Keys, he’s touring the country with the psychedelic modern rock powerhouse The Arcs. When he’s got downtime from The Arcs and isn’t distracted by his many other projects, he’s watching Making A Murderer like everybody else in America.Today, the band released a new song called “Lake Superior” inspired by the show:
It’s like Billy Childish says, “We live in troubled times”. Last week, we got a sneak peek at what goes on behind the curtains of our criminal justice system. A few sleepless nights later we gathered in the studio and wrote this song. Written, recorded, mixed and mastered in 2 days.
Right now the song is just available for streaming (listen below) but the band says “download will be available shortly” and when it’s made available, proceeds will benefit The Innocence Project.
