Dawes cancels XPoNential appearance due to COVID; Cimafunk will play an encore set
After a few positive COVID-19 test results came back late Saturday before a show in Boston, Dawes has canceled their appearance at #XPNFest. We are sorry our audience won’t get to hear Dawes at this year’s festival and we wish their team members a speedy recovery.
“We’ve tried to stay as careful and podded up as we can, but this virus found us anyway,” the band write in their Instagram statement announcing the news. “It kills us to be making this announcement. But we wanna keep you all safe and there’s unfortunately no other option.”
We still have a full lineup of amazing music for Sunday. Cimafunk, who electrified audiences during their Saturday set, will return for an encore performance, and we’ll end the day with Shovels and Rope on the River Stage.
