PRESS PLAY: New Albums out February 11th!
I know we’re only about six weeks into the new year but so far February has been the month to beat in terms of new album bounty. Particularly generous this week is the New York group Big Thief, whose double album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You is as mesmerizing (and sprawling) as its evocative title. Long-running indie institution Spoon make their return with the taut and driving Lucifer on the Sofa, their tenth LP overall.
Several Philly-area favorites are also back this week: Amos Lee loops airy vocal hooks on Dreamland, and Shamir holds nothing back on the bracing Heterosexuality.
