This December WXPN is taking you on an alphabetical journey through our favorite music of the 90s, and to get psyched for the listening event — which begins December 1st at 8 a.m. — we’ve teed up a run of special events and programming between now and then.
Of course there’s the 90s Dance Party with Kristen Kurtis and John Vettese on November 22nd at World Cafe Live, which is FREE to attend when you RSVP here. But you’ll also hear a lot more 90s in the mix through special features, beginning tonight. Here’s a rundown of what’s in store!
Friday 11/11: What’s The Frequency with John Vettese will highlight the Oasis v. Blur rivalry and dig into Britpop classics from 7 to 11 p.m.
Monday 11/14: Mike Vasilikos spins music from 1990 in the noon hour.
Tuesday 11/15: The XPN Morning Show’s Pick One feature finds Kristen Kurtis asking you to choose a favorite classic grunge album from 6 to 10 a.m.

Thursday 11/17: Dan Reed will highlight classic 90s movie soundtracks from 4 to 6 p.m., and then presents a Highs In The 70s showcase of the best 70s songs used in 90s soundtracks from 6 to 7 p.m.
Thursday 11/17: It’s a night of smooth sounds from the Golden Era of 90s R&B hosted and curated by Abdur Rahman, from 8 to 10 p.m.
Friday 11/18: For the XPN Morning Show’s Friday Morning Mixtape, Kristen Kurtis and the XPN community will celebrate the best one-hit wonders of the 90s.
Saturday 11/19: Bruce Warren will spotlight albums from U2, Bjork, Janet Jackson, Beck, A Tribe Called Quest and more from noon to 1 p.m.
Monday 11/21: Mike Vasilikos spins music from 1994 in the noon hour.
