Remember, Dr. Dog never said they were breaking up. They were just ending their long run as a touring band. That doesn’t preclude the beloved Philly-rooted rockers playing destination concerts, like a previously announced gig at the legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, or a just-announced hometown gig at The TD Pavilion at The Mann on July 13th. It’s their first hometown appearance since a December 31, 2021 concert at Union Transfer.
Joining Dr. Dog on their return to Philly are their old friends The Teeth — who reunited to much fanfare at the top of this year — as well as new pal Kevin Morby, the celebrated southwestern singer-songwriter.
