This year, Philly rock favorites Dr. Dog will play their first hometown show in three years, and now they have new music to go with it. Released earlier this week, “Still Can’t Believe” is the band’s first new music since the 2019 7″ single “Can She Dance/Can’t Catch Me.”

The song finds co-songwriter Scott McMicken taking lead on a slow waltz that’s roomy and minimal and beautiful, a reflection on the passing of time (“days into days, dancing the same toe to toe”) that quietly builds into something lush and resonant.

Listen to the song below, and find it on the streaming service of your choice here. Dr. Dog headlines the Mann Center’s TD Pavilion on July 13th, with opening sets from Kevin Morby and The Teeth. Tickets and more information on the show can be found at WXPN’s Concert Calendar.
