Making their return to the Free at Noon stage, New York City rockers Sunflower Bean turned it up for today’s Free at Noon concert, giving Philly fans an early listen to a heaping of new material from their record Mortal Primetime. The record is out April 25th on Lucky Number Records; “Lucky Number” is also the name of one of the songs the bland played, drawing from their 2024 EP Shake. The eight-song Free At Noon set focused entirely on those two most recent releases, giving a window into where Sunflower Bean is creatively at, circa now. The band returns to Philadelphia on Friday, May 16th, at Johnny Brenda’s, and tickets and information can be found at the WXPN Concert Calendar.
