Who They Are: Punk-rooted retro rock Philly favorites Sheer Mag exploded out of the local scene to gain international buzz in the mid 20-teens, all on the strength of a series of DIY EPs. The 2017 album Need to Feel Your Love channeled T. Rex and MC5 on ragers like “Meet Me In The Street,” “Just Can’t Get Enough,” and “Expect The Bayonet,” and are anchored by frontperson Christina Halladay’s formidable vocals. They were named a WXPN Artist to Watch in August of 2017 after playing a Free at Noon concert that summer.
