Joining us in the studio for this Indie Rock Hit Parade live session is a group who may be quite familiar to you for a few different reasons. As Water from Your Eyes, vocalist Rachel Brown and guitarist/producer Nate Amos have been making music that is pretty impossible to categorize. Their latest album, It’s a Beautiful Place, whips from overdriven sludge-pop to surprisingly tender country balladeering to mutated disco, all in under half an hour. This adventurous style caught the ear of Paramore singer Hayley Williams, who recruited WFYE as the opener for her Spring 2026 solo tour. Between a pair of shows at the Fillmore, Brown and Amos (along with their touring rhythm section, Al Nardo and Bailey Wallawitz from fantasy of a broken heart) visited our studios to perform a set of new material. It was a return trip for most of the team, as Amos’s solo project, This is Lorelei, recorded their own session for World Cafe late last year.
