About a week after Low Cut Connie threw a killer free show in the heart of South Philly, where the band played its first gigs, Adam Weiner and company made their national TV debut.
The beloved Philly rock and roll band’s live performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! aired Tuesday night, with guest host Anthony Anderson filling in for a vacationing Kimmel. Hot off the release of their latest album, Livin in the USA, Low Cut Connie played “Can’t Be Wrong” from the new record.
Weiner’s signature showmanship was on (near) full display: he emoted to the live and broadcast audience, stood one-legged on his piano bench while banging on the keys, but fell short of stripping down to his undershirt, as he’s wont to do. Maybe next time they’re on national TV he’ll pull that move.
Fans of Low Cut Connie in the Philly area can catch them live Sept. 12 at The Room at Cedar Grove in Lewes, Delaware as part of the Delaware Beaches Songwriters Festival.
