You’re in for a treat today. It’s Sense of Place: Dublin, and today, you’re getting a primer on the next generation of Irish rock, courtesy of Florence Road.
The band — Lily Aron, Emma Brandon, Ailbhe Barry and Hannah Kelly — is a well-oiled machine. The first thing we noticed watching them perform this set in the studio is how tight and focused the four-piece is, and that’s before you even get to Aron’s vocals, which are breathtaking.
It’s no surprise people have taken notice, including Olivia Rodrigo, who invited Florence Road to tour with her.
