Lily Allen’s latest album, West End Girl, is both a triumph and a bummer: she largely drew from her high profile split from Stranger Things star David Harbour in writing the tracks. The album is a certified hit, and she will perform it in full Friday at The Met.

Saturday: Christina Ward at Johnny Brenda’s
Philly indie psych artist Christina Ward’s guitar wizardry will put them on display this weekend alongside supporting acts Hauntress, Powerhouse of the Cell, and Maria Mirenzi at Johnny Brenda’s. Check out her 2023 Key Studio Session.

Sunday: Trout Fishing In America at Sellersville Theater
The beloved kindie group touted (trouted?) by our very own Kathy O’Connell over the years is playing up in Bucks County this weekend. To make the deal even sweeter, kids under 12 years old get a $10 ticket discount.

Tuesday: Crickets & Cicadas at Johnny Brenda’s
Grateful Dead tribute band Crickets & Cicadas is playing a free show in partnership with New Jersey’s Tonewood Brewing. Other regional breweries participating are Love City, Neshaminy Creek, New Trail, Sacred Vice, and Carbon Copy.

Wednesday: José González at Union Transfer
Swedish indie folk singer-songwriter and guitarist José González is bringing his classic guitar and dream-like vocals to Philly as he tours on his new album, Against The Dying Of The Light. Watch his two-song set recorded in 2022 for World Cafe’s At Home Sessions.

Thursday: St. Paul & The Broken Bones at The Fillmore
