Jazz, funk, indie pop, and more genres will fill the air at venues in and around Philadelphia soon. See below for our round up of upcoming shows we’re excited about.
Friday: Lucius At McCarter Theatre Center
Jess Wolfe and Holly Laessig are heading to the McCarter Theatre Center in Princeton for a solo Lucius show Friday. Their 2022 collaboration with Brandi Carlile on the song “You and Me on the Rock” landed them Grammy nominations for Album of The Year (In These Silent Days), Record of the Year, and Best Americana Performance. Saturday: The Surfrajettes At Anchor Rock Club
Toronto’s instrumental surf rock group The Surfrajettes are set to serve up their reverb-heavy 60s tunes alongside indie mod singer-songwriter Bethlehem Shalom for a retro gig in Atlantic City this weekend.
Sunday: Moustapha Noumbissi At 118 North
Multi-instrumentalist indie singer-songwriter Moustapha Noumbissi, known for his soul-tinged psychedelia, is performing Sunday on the Main Line with Jarod Clemons. Watch his set from NonComm 2024 here, and stream the audio from his 2024 XPoNential Festival performance here.
Tuesday: Julian Lage At Keswick Theatre
The jazz guitarist-composer is touring on his new album, Scenes From Above, and will perform with his compatriots John Medeski, Jorge Roeder, Kenny Wolleson at Keswick Theatre in Glenside.
Wednesday: Perfume Genius At The First Unitarian Church
Midwest indie pop rocker Perfume Genius released an extended version of his eighth studio album, Glory, in late February. He will be joined by Dan English for a seated show in The Sanctuary at The First Unitarian Church. The man behind Perfume Genius, Mike Hadreas, sat down with World Cafe host Raina Douris in August 2025 to discuss musical storytelling.
Thursday: Madison Cunningham At Ardmore Music Hall
Singer-songwriter Madison Cunningham will bring her Americana folk stylings to the Main Line Thursday. The California native dropped Ace, her fifth album in just six years, in October 2025 and is touring on the record.
