Listen to “Help Me Mama,” a new single from blues-rockers Thee, Idea Men

The old school groove and classic rock presence of Thee, Idea Men is undeniable. Bringing to mind Jack White’s The Raconteurs, they create innovative guitar riffs, their energy is palpable, and one thing becomes clear: these guys can really play their instruments.

The newest single from the band, who began their musical endeavors as a senior project at Drexel University, “Help Me Mama” features an incredible guitar solo and super catchy hooks with the band’s trademark classic rock / bluesy instrumentation. The track is taken from an upcoming full length they’ll be recording at Milkboy the Studio at the end of the month. The group hopes to release the album by February-March 2014. Can’t wait that long? They’ll be performing at Ortlieb’s Lounge in Philadelphia Saturday, October 19th with The Beards and Katie Frank and the Pheromones.
