Listen to a new Peter Gabriel song inspired by Muhammad Ali called “I’m Amazing”

Peter Gabriel has shared a new song, the 7 minute and twenty-eight second “I’m Amazing,” his first new song since he released “Show Yourself” 2013.

About the song, Gabriel writes on his website:

“I wrote a song a few years back – ‘I’m Amazing’, which was, in part, inspired by Muhammad Ali’s life and struggles and at the time of his death, when so many people are celebrating his life and thinking about all he achieved, it seemed the right time to release it.”

It’s exactly the kind of new Gabriel song you were hoping for. It’s got an insidious big groove under it, dark, wobbly, menacing guitar and synth lines, elements of world music, and a sophisticated melodic stickiness that’s classic Gabriel.
