Sunday: The Linda Lindas at Theatre of Living Arts
LA riot grrrl band The Linda Lindas went viral for their 2021 performance of “Racist Sexist Boy” and have been crushing it ever since. They’re joined by two killer Philly bands, Deux Visages and Kulfi Girls, at their Sunday night TLA gig.

Monday: Joshua Burnside at Kung Fu Necktie
Northern Ireland folk singer-songwriter Joshua Burnside will open the workweek with a Kung Fu Necktie gig after releasing his latest album, It’s Not Going to Be Okay, in March.

Tuesday: Phantom Planet at City Winery
Phantom Planet—best known for their song “California,” which served as the theme song for the 2000s teen drama The OC—has a discography full of catchy and expertly written pop rock. The City Winery show is being billed as “An Intimate & Storytelling Experience.” How fitting, given we just announced our Countdown of the 885 Greatest Songs from Movies and TV?

Wednesday: Bright Eyes at Union Transfer
A pillar of the indie rock community, Bright Eyes is set for a midweek show at Union Transfer. Conor Oberst and company will be supported by fellow Nebraskans and newly reunited Lullaby for the Working Class, which features Mike Mogis of Bright Eyes.

Thursday: Song People at Ortlieb’s
Beloved bar and venue (and lauded hot dog purveyor) Ortlieb’s will host a hometown showcase featuring jangly rockers Song People, alt-garage pop rock four piece Labrador, and psych-pop outfit 1910 Chainsaw Company Thursday night.
