Former Sleepy Hollow host Keith Brand returning this weekend

Keith Brand, our Sunday Sleepy Hollow host from sometime in 1986 to the spring of 2013, graced his listeners with a relaxing, eclectic mix of soft ambient, chillwave, and film soundtrack sounds along with folk, some jazz and classic artists new and old.

This captivating soundscape was part of your early Sunday mornings if you were a listener of the program for those 27 years.

I, myself, was drawn in to unwind and start my Sundays with Keith and the show. In doing that, I discovered many new intriguing artists to expand my musical horizons, so much so that I ended up answering phones for Keith for a few years back in the early 2000s.

Fast forward to today: Keith is leaving the Philly area for the mountains of North Carolina to deepen his love of old-timey sounds and to follow his bliss after his retirement from Rowan University’s communications department. I will interview him in short segments about his favorite moments and thoughts on doing the show for 27 years.

Keith will return to the WXPN studios to get behind the microphone and pick some tracks—both familiar and new—enchanting the listeners of Sleepy Hollow once again as he returns to the airwaves he graced for decades.
