Host Stephen Kallao visits June Audio and Velour Live Music Gallery
Walking through downtown Provo, you might not expect the Utah city to house a state-of-the-art music recording facility that has hosted the likes of The Killers and Post Malone. But, June Audio is part of what makes the music scene here so unique. In this installment of our Sense of Place: Provo series, we meet up with a local band called The National Parks that’s recorded most of their music at June Audio, plus we talk to the man behind the studios, Scott Wiley, to learn more about Provo’s prolific music scene. Later, we’ll introduce you to Corey Fox and his one-of-a-kind all-ages venue Velour Live Music Gallery. Serving as the heartbeat of Provo’s performing scene, Fox and Velour championed bands like Neon Trees, Imagine Dragons, and the Moth and the Flame.
