Sampa The Great joins host Raina Douris

In 2019, Sampa The Great became the first woman of color to win Best Hip Hop Release at the ARIA awards in Australia. Then she won the same award again the next year. Born in Zambia, Sampa moved back home to write and record a new album that celebrates her roots, called As Above, So Below. We’ll hear how she came to work with the great Angelique Kidjo and what it was like to be claimed as an “Australian” artist when she didn’t feel like an Australian.
