Adrianne Lenker miniconcert with host Stephen Kallao
Adrianne Lenker of Big Thief is an incredible live performer, displaying raw and visceral guitar playing, but also moments of delicate vulnerability. It’s fitting that her new solo album, Bright Future, was recorded live to tape, fully analog, without a computer screen in sight. Recorded with friends at a mysterious studio in the woods called Double Infinity, the album captures what makes Lenker such an essential artist. On the World Cafe, Adrianne joins us to perform a set of songs, recorded at the iconic Electric Lady Studios in New York.
