Frances Quinlan joins host Raina Douris

Leader of the Philadelphia band Hop Along for 15 years, Frances Quinlan has a voice that’s unique and – in her own words – you either like it or you don’t. Now that voice is front and center, as she steps out with her first solo album, Likewise. On the day the record was released in January, Frances stopped by the World Cafe to play the personal – sometimes revealing – songs, live. We’ll hear that performance, and a conversation about her style of songwriting and what it’s like to play without a band for the first time.
