Del McCoury joins Nashville correspondent Jessie Scott

An elder statesmen of bluegrass, Del McCoury, was there at the beginning of the bluegrass movement – He started playing banjo alongside Bill Monroe, one of the originators of the genre, in the early 1960s. We’ll hear his reflections on Monroe, as well as Earl Scruggs and Lester Flatt. AND McCoury shares about his new album, Almost Proud, a project that developed from demos he dusted off from his archives. Tune in for a little bluegrass history and some very energetic live recordings in a session from Nashville.
