d4vd joins host Stephen Kallao

David Burke was a teen YouTuber who kept getting his videos taken down for using other people’s music. So, he decided to make his own. Since recording vocals in his sister’s closet using a free app, Burke’s music has been streamed billions of times. Now simply known as d4vd (pronounced David), he just released his debut album, Withered. On the World Cafe, hear live performances recorded in studio, and find out how d4vd became one of pop’s rising stars.
