“Madchester” special with host Stephen Kallao

World Cafe steps into a one-of-a-kind music scene…The great English city of Manchester has introduced the world to bands like Oasis, New Order, and The Smiths. And before their time, there were the bands that laid the groundwork for the city’s rock tradition, including the Hollies. And of course, “Mad-chester” – The late ‘80s/early ‘90s era when rock met rave culture, producing bands like The Stone Roses. Music from all those bands, and more, as we experience Manchester’s rich musical offerings.
