ENCORE: Elliott Smith Mini Concert 1999

In 1999, influential singer-songwriter Elliott Smith stopped by World Cafe’s studio to perform a special mini-concert. His set included an early (and still untitled) rendition of “Happiness,” which would later appear on his 2000 album, Figure 8. On the next World Cafe, we’ll revisit Smith’s performance to commemorate the 10-year anniversary of Heaven Adores You, the documentary about his life and music.
