Amanda Shires joins host Raina Douris

Before her last album, Amanda Shires thought she’d never record music again. But finding the right person to work with in the studio changed things. That person was songwriter and indie-pop artist Lawrence Rothman. They’ve teamed up again on her new album, Nobody’s Girl, coming out later this month, and on the World Cafe, we revisit Amanda’s 2022 session to hear how Lawrence helped her find her voice again.
