Mariza joins host David Dye

No trip to Lisbon, Portugal is complete without taking in a Fado performance. It’s the traditional music of the city – but in the early 2000’s, it had sort of fallen out of fashion. And then, Mariza released her debut album. Fado has made a comeback and Mariza has sold over a million records. On the edition of World Cafe’s Sense of Place: Lisbon series revisit a session with Mariza.
