No Joy joins host Raina Douris

Bugland, the latest record from Montreal band No Joy, sounds incredibly fresh but also nostalgic, harkening back to the DIY scene of Montreal in the 90s and 2000s. For World Cafe’s latest Sense of Place series, we sat down with No Joy’s Jasamine White-Gluz, who saw firsthand how the city’s music scene flourished during that time.

Listen to the session here.
