Che Apalache joins host Talia Schlanger

From North Carolina to Argentina, the band Che Apalache’s diverse influences make for a truly unique take on bluegrass. Their story starts when the group’s leader, Joe Trooper, moved to Buenos Aires with his banjo in tow, and started teaching music lessons. He formed Che Apalache with three former students, and now they’ve released their debut album, produced by bluegrass legend Bela Fleck. We’ll hear their story, and a live performance of songs from the record, Rearrange My Heart.
