Julieta Venegas joins producer Miguel Perez, Stephen Kallao hosts

Julieta Venegas says she doesn’t have a genre, rather, she simply “follows sound.” The Mexican singer-songwriter showcases that with her new album, Tu Historia, which is full of familiar sounds like her signature use of accordion, and new sounds like disco and synth pop. Coming up, Julieta joins World Cafe producer Miguel Perez for a conversation about the inspiration for the new record, what it was like growing up in a border town, and how she ended up collaborating with one of today’s biggest music stars, Bad Bunny.
