The Harlem Gospel Travelers join host Raina Douris

Gospel music has always offered hope in hard times, a light in the dark…And when the world was getting him down, singer Ifedayo Thomas Gatling of The Harlem Gospel Travelers started writing music for their new album, called Look Up! He shared songwriting duties with Eli “Paperboy” Reed, who also performs with the Travelers and started out as their music teacher. We’ll hear that story on the World Cafe and find out how the tumult of the last few years inspired the hopeful songs on the new record
