Ariete joins host Raina Douris

Ariete knew what she wanted growing up not too far from Rome – a career in music – and at a very young age, with some luck and hard work, she saw that dream materialize. On the World Cafe, she talks about how her passion for songwriting developed early, how she convinced her parents to support her goals, and what was running through her mind when she appeared on the Italian version of the TV show X Factor (though her big break didn’t come from that). All that, plus a stripped-down set, recorded at Rome’s Studio 33.
