Sterling Duns releases cinematic new “Do The Talking” video

Local indie hip hop artist Sterling Duns has released a new video for his track “Do The Talking.” Like many rappers from his home city, this West Philadelphia MC / instrumentalist does a great job of incorporating soulful beats and dope lyrics into his new song. Opening with a black and white scene of Duns rehearsing lines and running an errand for his sister, the video pits striking cinematography against Duns’ witty and self-aware rhymes to tell the story of a man being pulled from all sides.
It’s clear that late rapper Big L and legendary director Spike Lee have a huge influence on Sterling Duns when he’s creating his art. Check out the video for “Do The Talking” below.
