Philly’s Us Natives Records teams with local charity for a benefit beat compilation
Philly record label Us Natives Records is teaming up with Ambler-based nonprofit Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard to raise money for families in need this holiday season.
Aside from obviously awesome idea of raising money, gifts and food those less fortunate, Us Natives – a locally-based production collective – also put together a rad collection of beats which you can get for yourself with only a small donation. The proceeds for the mixtape will buy food and presents this holiday season for a family in the Philadelphia area that Us Natives co-founder Ill Clinton is sponsoring via the nonprofit. From the label’s Bandcamp:
Proceeds from this album will be used to provide a local Philadelphia area family of 4 [Mother, Daughter and 2 Sons ] with gifts and food for the holidays. We will be purchasing and wrapping presents for each child and providing a gift card to a local food store for the parents. We will be posting photos of the gifts and wrapping festivities so that each and every person who purchases this cassette can see just how much of an impact they have personally. Every dollar from this project will be going to this family, no matter how small or large, please consider getting involved.
