Watch Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and the SNL Cast sing “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town”
Last night, Bruce Springsteen was the final SNL Musical guest of 2015, celebrating The River as well as the holidays.
The Boss is, of course, known for his amped-up “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” – a 1975 live version from Nassau Coliseum was the b-side to his single “My Hometown” – and last night, Springsteen and the E Street Band played the song as the credits rolled at 1 a.m. with the entire SNL cast and, randomly, Paul McCartney jumping onstage out of nowhere.

Technically Springsteen was on the show to promote The Ties that Bind: The River Collection, the new box set celebrating his 1980 LP, and his other two songs performed were “Meet Me in the City,” an outtake from the album, and of course “The Ties that Bind.”
Springsteen plays Philadelphia on February 12th at the Wells Fargo Center; the show is sold out but, you know, StubHub. Watch Bruce discussing the album on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon here.
The host last night was SNL vet, author, actress, DelCo native and all around awesome lady Tina Fey, who totally got her Philly on during the Bronx Beat sketch. Wawa and “wooder” get shoutouts in the bit, which you can watch below.
