TV Girl is back with a new album, Who Really Cares. Influenced by 60s pop, hip-hop, and probably a John Hughes movie or two, TV Girl first made a name for themselves with the infectious Todd Rungren sampling single “If You Want It.”
Since 2010, on a series of EPs and several full lengths including 2012’s The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle, and their 2014 cult classic, French Exit, TV Girl have been making smartly crafted, fun, and memorable pop – filled with mad hooks and songs that should be hits.
Below, stream or download the new album. On their Bandcamp page they say Who Really Cares is “an album about sex or lack thereof, and its consequences, or lack thereof.”
Mark your calendars cause TV Girl play Ortlieb’s on Saturday, April 23rd.
