Laurel Canyon make a fun, quirky debut with “Two Times Emptiness”
Nicholas Gillespie and Serg Cereja met through a mutual friend back in 2019 and began jamming together, rehearsing various rock standards. The two began writing music together by October of the next year and now they’re ready to release their debut single, “Two Times Emptiness,” as Laurel Canyon.
Craig Almquist of Cold Fronts lent a hand in the production of the track. Recorded in one day, the song that explores the concept of the “femme fatale.” The spoken interludes give the whole song a lighthearted, quirky sound. Ultimately, “Two Times Emptiness” has a solid groove and an overall fun sound that makes it a perfect debut release.
