ASCXNSION manifests a new beginning on new single “Let Me Go”

When reading tarot, everyone feels a little uneasy pulling the death card. The predictor of endings, transitions, and transformation, it usually indicates a big life change. While it can be intimidating, the Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter ASCXNSION welcomes the shift on her new single, “Let Me Go.”

A manifestation of shedding the old and moving towards something new, the track is like a baptism. Written during a tumultuous break-up, ASCXNSION uses the song to process her emotions and visualize how she wants to feel in the future. Realizing her worth, she has no problem letting go of relationships, friendships, and situations that no longer serve her. Over a mellow beat, she raps about new blessings and vows to stop chasing things that aren’t meant for her. Given a bright beginning, she doesn’t dwell on the loss of the relationship. Instead, she sees it as an opportunity for growth admitting “I’m in love with the lessons, not with you, baby.” Full of healing energy and positivity, by the end of the track, it’s as if she’s been reborn.
