PRESS PLAY: 8 New Albums out September 3rd!

A new month brings, what else, a new batch of albums to enjoy! British rapper Little Simz goes at it (almost entirely) alone on Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, which features production by members of the mysterious ensemble Sault. Julien Baker taps Half Waif, Thao, and others to rework her newest songs for an EP of Little Oblivion remixes. Kept tightly under wraps, Drake‘s Certified Lover Boy is anticipated to be the Canadian superstar’s latest masterpiece. Hot Mustard is a funky instrumental duo that teamed up with members of TV on the Radio and Antibalas for Mother Sauce.

Nashville’s Liz Cooper unleashes a lively new set of songs on the gritty Hot Sass. Spirits Having Fun, Chicago’s exceptional prog-leaning pop group, show off their stuff on their aptly-titled sophomore album, Two. Just over a decade after his passing, Gerry Rafferty‘s Rest in Blue features some of the final recordings from the sturdy Scottish hitmaker.
