WXPN’s Artist To Watch in May is the seven-piece R&B/soul band from Seattle that recently released its third album, Sticking With It.
Mining the sounds of Stax/Volt with a horn section reminiscent of the Tower of Power horns, The Dip is an instant dance party, bringing fresh sounds with a touch of rock to their retro-soul.
Hosted by WXPN, the band is performing live at public radio’s NON-COMMvention this week, again at the XPoNential Music Festival in September, and will be on World Cafe on May 23rd.
